"Five Millenia of Hellenic Sound"
The Hellenic sound as a journey through memory, myth, and culture
A repeat staging of the Keros concert (9/9) in Koufonisi, featuring a journey spanning five millennia of Hellenic sound, directed by Michail Marmarinos.
The programme opens with Ancient Greek music performed on replicas of period instruments and moves through the centuries: Byzantine chant, medieval music, the Renaissance, traditional repertoire and the twentieth century, culminating in contemporary works by Iannis Xenakis and Giorgos Koumendakis.
Through emblematic works, the concert traces the timeless evolution of Greek sound in its historical and cultural context. At the same time, it transforms the Small Cyclades, cradle of Early Cycladic civilisation, into a place of living musical memory where music and history converse and give rise to new recollections.
Participants include the musicAeterna Byzantina choir, Dimitris Tiliakos, Olia Lazaridou, Dimitris Dessylas, Sokratis Sinopoulos, Callum Armstrong, Maria-Christina Harper, Giorgos Tabakis and the Oros Ensemble.

"Πέντε Χιλιετίες Ελληνικού Ήχου"
Ο ελληνικός ήχος ως πορεία μνήμης, μύθου και πολιτισμού
Επαναληπτική συναυλία της Κέρου (9/9) στο Κουφονήσι, ενός δρώμενου που διατρέχει πέντε χιλιετίες ελληνικού ήχου, με την υπογραφή του Μιχαήλ Μαρμαρινού.
Το πρόγραμμα ξεκινά με αρχαιοελληνική μουσική, ερμηνευμένη σε αντίγραφα αρχαίων οργάνων και συνεχίζει μέσα στους αιώνες: βυζαντινό μέλος, μεσαιωνική μουσική, Αναγέννηση, παραδοσιακό ρεπερτόριο, καθώς και 20ος και 21ος αιώνας, με συνθέσεις των Ιάννη Ξενάκη και Γιώργου Κουμεντάκη.
Μέσα από εμβληματικά έργα, η συναυλία αναδεικνύει τη διαχρονική εξέλιξη του ελληνικού ήχου στο ιστορικό και πολιτισμικό του πλαίσιο. Παράλληλα, μεταμορφώνει έναν από τους σημαντικότερους αρχαιολογικούς τόπους της Ελλάδας, τις Μικρές Κυκλάδες, κοιτίδα του Πρωτοκυκλαδικού πολιτισμού, σε τόπο ζωντανής μουσικής μνήμης, όπου μουσική και ιστορία συνομιλούν και γεννούν νέες μνήμες.
